Florida Spring Break 2013- Day 5 (Universal Studios)

I forgot to mention this yesterday, but TWO different times, someone came up to us and gave us five fast passes, which is the perfect number for us! What a cool God thing. If you don't know, at Disney parks you can get "fast passes" for a ride that you really want to do. You can choose your ride, and your fast pass allows you to go to the front of the line, but you can only have one fast pass at a time. So, it's a big deal for people to give them away! This happened to us once at Animal Kingdom and once at Magic Kingdom, both for popular rides with long lines! Yay!

Today we were at Universal Studios. It was a good day, and a great weather day for being at a park- mostly cloudy and cooler.

Kley, Kayla, and I at the Universal globe. (Squinting right into the sun, so we look really great.)

Universal Studios!

Despicable Me ride. This was probably my favorite ride of the day. I have not seen the movie, but now I really want to! It was so cute. It was a 3D ride- super fun about humans becoming minions, and then the dad throwing an anniversary party for the girls in honor of their adoption. I loved it!

The streets.

Shrek 4-D show. This was more like a movie, but they moved your chair a little bit during the show like you were part of the act. It was about what happens after the movies, supposedly. The ghost of Lord Farquah (sp?), returns and tries to capture Princess Fiona and kill her so they can be together again. Of course, it didn't work and Shrek saved her.

Part of the city/Rock It roller coaster.

My mom really wanted to go to the Horror Make-Up show, which is funny since she doesn't like horror at all. It wasn't what I thought it would be, but it was really funny. I thought it would be more about applying make-up/making the transformation of characters, but it was more comedy and special effects/movie clips. It was much better than I thought it would be!

Horror show stage.

Men in Black shooting ride. Unfortunately, I didn't do as well as I did on the Toy Story ride. I took 4th (out of 5). At least I wasn't last! (Sorry Kayla.) My dad took the lead again by a long shot.

Sponge Bob float.

Fear Factor Live show! Fun to watch, except for the part where they drank a blended concoction of nasty stuff.

The contestants.

E.T. Adventure ride- a slower ride through the woods trying to help ET get back home to his planet to save it. I just made the connection today that Drew Barrymore is in that movie!

Animal Actors show- so fun! I love watching funny animal shows. A part of me thinks that would be a really fun job.

The animal stage.

Blues Brothers band singing in the streets.

Disaster! A fun show where they choose audience participants to act out stunts and place them into a movie trailer we are all helping to create.

Rock It roller coaster- a very intense ride!

This is the FIRST thing that happens on the ride- lift you up at a complete 90 degree angle, and next is the big drop.

Dinner after at Carrabba's!
