Tulip Festival 2024- Dutch dancing, parades, and more rides.

Tulip Festival was so great this year- thankful for great weather, fun activities, and lots of special time with family! Norah was able to participate in Dutch dancing again this year- she did great!

The parades are always fun! Where I grew up, marching band was not cool, but here it truly is and many do it! Kley loves seeing the HS band every year.

They have some fun floats- this one is my favorite!

The Thursday night parade is the only one where they throw out candy, so that's a fun one! We got to go to this one with Kley's family, so it was fun to watch cousins enjoy it together!

We did some more rides with cousin Will after the parade too! (Gerrit was there for the parade too, but went home after for bed and he's pretty young for rides yet.) They had lots of fun!

On Friday afternoon, the girls got to ride on a float in the parade- so cool!

During the Friday night parade there was a short spout of rain and there were these amazing double rainbows after!

My parents and sister Kayla came up for the weekend- so fun they could join in the festivities!

My cousin also came to town for a day for the festival and she got to come over for a few hours. The girls loved playing with their sweet baby Flora! (I didn't post the picture of that to keep her face offline.) Thankful for a fun few days!

Tulip Festival 2024- Ride Night.

Tulip Festival came around again- one of our favorite times of the year! What a fun filled and busy few days. (Tulip Festival is a big Dutch celebration in our small town with rides, food stands, parades, Dutch costumes, street scrubbing, etc.) Tulip Festival kicks off with ride night (the only night they sell wristbands, as opposed to regular tickets, for unlimited rides) and the girls were pumped!

I love that we are in the middle of doing some big kid rides and some little kid rides.

Tulips 2024.

The tulips are looking really good right now! We've had a pretty good spring weather wise, so the tulips are coming up earlier this year. I'm worried they won't be looking very good come Tulip Festival in a couple weeks, but thankfully since we live here we can see them often whenever they are blooming. They are looking really great right now, and even more thankful for our three really great girls!

My parents were visiting for the weekend too, so they got to join in the viewing!

Mother's Day 2024.

Ah, motherhood- the hardest, yet greatest and most precious gift. Motherhood shapes me in the most beautiful and growing ways. Thankful today and everyday for my girls. I love them so deeply, but most grateful that my love for them pales in comparison to His love for them. He is a good, good Father and that He entrusted me to be their mom is remarkable. :)

Also, I am truly thankful for my moms, sisters, grandmas, and mom friends, who are a great example and well of encouragement to me!
