Today at work was quite the day.
Overwhelming, yet I still love my job and love my kids, even when they are downright naughty, completely on purpose, for no good reason.
That's what my today was.
I was by myself, because my coworker had to help in another classroom because their teacher was sick. (I can be by myself with 6 or less kids, according to state ratios, and thankfully we only have 6 on our roster right now, so I am enjoying a few laid back weeks!) Being by myself with 6 two-year-olds makes me appreciate stay-at-home-moms so incredibly much. I don't know how my mom did it and stayed so awesome. Doing it alone is so much harder and more draining than having a partner with you.
Today there was a lot of naughty behavior, a lot of correction and training, but there were still some laughs, cuddle moments, and plenty of two-year-old comments to make me smile.
Such as- Child: "I pooped this morning." Me: "You did, really?" Child: "Yep, because I have a rocket ship on my shirt."
So, the rocket ship made you poop? Their logic is too funny.
The first was one of my boys shoved a napkin wad so far up his nose that he had to be sent home to go to the doctor. Bummer. I have never had anyone put anything up their nose until today.
What a day. :)
"This is the day that the LORD has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." (Psalm 118:24)
Now I'm going to bake a cake, because tomorrow is Kley's birthday! I'm going to make a dark chocolate cake with blue frosting, so he should love it hopefully. :) Happy birthday baby! I love you very much.
