Family outdoor walks to snow day blizzards.

Norah and I have been in Des Moines visiting family since Wednesday. My mother-in-law, Jana, drove us down because she had some errands to run here, which was so nice of her. Kley was going to come down on Friday, but unfortunately wasn't able to in the end because he had tons of bar studying to do and this long practice test to take on Saturday. Stinky bar exam. (Only one more month of studying to go! Kley is working so hard and I am so proud of him.)

It has been a great trip! It was so nice to have extended time with family and to just relax together. We ran some errands, went out for lunch and dinner, shopped at the mall, played games, and just hung out.  My sister came home from college for the weekend also (she goes to college in Orange City, so we get to see her all the time now!), so the whole family was together, except for Kley. My brother lives at home and is working, and my other sister is in high school.

When we got here, it was 50s out and so nice. We went for several walks outside. Now, there are about 10 inches of snow on the ground and it's a blizzard. We were supposed to go home today, but have to wait until tomorrow now because it's horrible driving conditions. Now we just get more family time; really the only bad thing is missing Kley!

Here are a few pictures of Norah over the last few days:

Norah was clearly not happy about the start of this photo session...

but then perked up nicely!

How can you resist this face?

Uncle Keaton is usually quite successful at getting smiles,

which are the absolute best.

Snow, snow, and more snow.
