Norah's Minnie Mouse 3rd Birthday (and Kley's 30th Birthday!)

Norah is 3 and Kley is 30! We threw a joint birthday party for them last weekend. (Let's be honest- it was mostly for Norah, since the theme was Minnie Mouse, but Kley was a good sport. I did try to throw in some things for Kley too, like I made him a birthday board of pictures too and the color scheme was baby blue, black, and pink, so it wasn't completely girly. Just mostly. :)

We borrowed Kley's aunt's bounce house, and we blew it up on Friday after nap and Norah had a private jump session with grandpa and grandma, which was a great idea because it was supposed to rain Saturday (party day), and it did, so we didn't actually have it during the party.

Norah loves her bounce houses! I said it my last Norah update that she regularly thanks God for bounce houses in her prayers.

Uncle Zack and Aunt Karlie.

Our girl is 3! What a great three years it's been. She is kind, smart, funny, loving, helpful, careful, a great big sister, and a good listener. Some of her favorite things are the color blue, macaroni and cheese, her sisters, riding her bike, going to the park, swinging, helping stir things in the kitchen or cook in her play kitchen, play-doh, legos, and her newfound favorite is Frozen.

Decorations.

It was very fun and we had a great time! (Weirdly, the Minnie head balloon would not float, so I just stuck it to the wall with sticky tack.)

I tried to go with easy things for food, and tried to throw in some of their favorite things too, like popcorn, chocolate covered pretzels, and oreos.

Norah got a Frozen doll as a gift, along with the DVD, and it was a hit!

Love my girl!

3! (Norah has a hard time raising her 4th finger, ha.)

Our girls are blessed with two wonderful grandmas!

Grandpa and Grandma De Jong, and of course Lucy and Ellory were adorable party guests as well.

Another special guest was my good friend Stephanie! So glad she could be there, as she lives in Washington DC.

Enjoying a cupcake with Ainsley, one of her friends.

Great Grandpa Ver Steeg.

Great Grandpa and Grandma De Jong.

My whole family! It was so special that they could all be there. My siblings are the best aunts and uncles (along with Brett and Elizabeth on the other side too, who unfortunately couldn't make it).

More great grandparents (my side).

The best family picture we got. Happy birthday Kley and Norah! Such fun to celebrate two of my most favorite people.

Norah also got a remote control Lightning McQueen car that she loved. She happened to see one at Walmart once and asked for it several times. She doesn't fully understand how to steer it yet, so she drives it like a mad woman.

Happy birthday Kley and Norah! You are both so very special to me. Love you both!
