Here is my favorite recipe for chocolate chip scones. I found it online once a long time ago, but don't remember where. It's amazing. I made them today and Kley said they should be a "big thing." Ha.
Chocolate Chip Scones
2 cups flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 1/2 t. baking powder
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
8 T. butter (1 stick)- cold and cut into small pieces
1/2 cup yogurt
1 t. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup chocolate chips
I put it all into a bowl and mix together. Put on pan in balls and bake at 400 for about 15 minutes. (Bake more/less depending on how fluffy or crunchy you like them.) Makes about 18 scones.
I love this recipe because they are easy/quick to make, I usually have all the ingredients on hand already, they are delicious, and you can eat them for breakfast even though they are kind of a dessert.
