It's snowing a lot where I live right now, so everyone could use a good laugh while we're all sitting at home, right? :) Here are some memes that I think are very funny. Most of them are ones I sent to my dad and a few to mom friends. (And yes, I do believe that fitness and eating healthy are important, but these are just really funny.)

Funny bloopers.

Funny Office, Friends, and Parks & Rec bloopers

I just wasted way too much time watching these during my precious alone time where all three of my kids are sleeping together, but it was worth it and I don't regret. Loved starting my morning with some laughs. Kley and I have watched all three of these shows, and most of these bloopers were quite funny. (Some are inappropriate- beware.) Enjoy!

Company is coming- I've seen this multiple times, but it always makes me laugh, especially during holiday cleaning.

Things you'll say as a parent- Kley and I had a good laugh over this one too. It's funny lines from movies, but spliced out as things parents say to their kids.

Garbage can takes out kid- This is sort of sad- poor kid- but also hilarious. That crazy wind!

Trying to put baby in crib- I am pretty tall for a girl, but I actually tried to duck down and mimic how this could possibly happen on Norah's crib. I don't know, but it's funny.

How did people in infomercials even survive?- I sent this in a group text to my family. I love watching weird infomercials.

Jimmy Fallon loves Gilmore Girls- Who's excited for the Gilmore Girls revival? Jimmy's a fan too!

Boy catches first fish- This is so adorable. Watch this little boy catch his first fish. He's so excited! (And their Southern accents!!)

Nicole Nordeman- Slow Down music video- I watched this in bed and cried at how big Norah has gotten, and then watched home videos of her as a tiny baby. Slow down, time!

A neat article about Joanna Gaines- Ever watched Fixer Upper? Chip and Joanna are such a great couple! Here she shares some thoughts on Mother's Day and being a mom/working.

Helping kids turn suffering into praise- This was a great article about helping your children turn their suffering into praise. Choosing thankfulness in the midst of hard times is not easy, but it's so rewarding and helps change your perspective. She talks about her son and his disabilities and how they have talked about how exquisitely God made his brain and He wired him to work and think that way. (She had many good things to say, however, she said that she measures her success in parenting if her children become children after God's own heart. She was talking about how that is more important than their grades or earthly things they accomplish, which is true, but I don't think that Norah becoming a Christian entirely measures my success. Certainly Godly parents play a huge role in shaping their children, but I can't make Norah love God just by trying really hard. We certainly pray often that God would help us parent Norah in His ways and that she would grow up to love and serve Him with her whole heart, but that's not necessarily a guarantee. That's a scary thought, because I want Norah to know His love like we do, but despite our very best efforts, only God can capture her heart.)

Cute Cheerios Commercial- Mother/daughter dance duo. Kids can learn so much and are watching us closely!

First three months of motherhood- A mother's take on the first three months of motherhood that definitely made me resonate with a few things (like their cries hit you like no one else!).

Collective Evolution's video about Finnish schools- A fascinating video about how Finland overtook their education system by shortening the school day and cutting out homework, and how their test scores skyrocketed.

Dad talking about his son with Autism- A really neat video about a dad fighting for his son. He had many challenges with Autism and was told to be institutionalized, but his dad wouldn't do that. He homeschooled him and worked with him relentlessly.

Lip sync battles of Jimmy Fallon and Melissa McCarthy- This was pretty funny, especially the last song. (Warning- Melissa's first song has language.)

Adoption video- I'm pretty confident I have posted a link to this video before, but I have to again. It's just too cool. This is an amazing story of a couple who adopted a baby and the way they connect earthly adoption to God adopting us into His family is beautiful.

7 Netflix documentaries worth watching- I have not watched any of these, but looks interesting!

Simplifying Childhood- I had seen several people post about this article, so I finally read it and I'm glad I did. It said that affluent children show some of the same coping mechanisms to feel safe as children in war zones, because they are exposed to too much (of everything- information, activities, etc.) and they don't know how to process. The article talked about protecting/simplifying childhood and fighting for down time/free play.

Sea World Announcement- Have you seen this? Wow. We weren't really in the know about orca breeding until we watched the documentary Blackfish about a year ago, but Sea World just announced that this is the last generation of orcas they will have because they will no longer breed them. I saw a FB video about this announcement that ended with, "We heard you." Interesting!

2 kids share Easter story- You need to watch these two kids share the Easter story. It's amazing and beautiful.

Crazy things kids have done- I pray my children don't do these things. Though, the first one (carving "I love my dad" into the car with a screwdriver) is my favorite and hilarious, yet bad.

Morning on the green!

Norah went to her first morning on the green! It was Northwestern's homecoming weekend, the college here in OC, and they have morning on the green every year with kids games, activities, and inflatables. Kley and I both went as kids (we probably saw each other there before we knew each other!), and the classic memory is winning a goldfish. We had fun walking around and seeing lots of people we knew!

Norah doing the "dino dig" game, which involved her touching the sand very cautiously with one hand. 

Norah's one take away was a balloon!

She was clearly thrilled. :)

We also walked there, so it was nice to enjoy the true, crisp fall weather and be outside together. Weekends are the best!
