Des Moines weekend/Ellory's grandparent trip.

Ellory just had such a fun week on her special grandparent trip! When I was younger, my grandparents took my cousin Rachel and I on a camping trip when we were eight. Each of the cousins on my mom's side has a cousin pair that is similar age, so they got to go together. It was a special time and my parents wanted to carry on the tradition, how nice! They call it "it's great to be eight" trip and technically Lucy and Ellory are nine, but they are making it happen this year and it's so fun for them! Lucy will go on hers next month. There aren't cousin pairs now, so they are each going individually, which is sweet to have grandparents doting on you and you alone! They went to Branson and got to do so many neat things! Thanks Dad and Mom for making this happen, what joyful memories for Lucy and Ellory this summer!

Lots of lake time, David play, and blueberry picking/giant muffins were great!

We had supper together and celebrated my dad's birthday and Father's Day when they got back!

We came to Des Moines a day before they got back to see some friends and do some fun things, and we went to Wilson's Orchard and Farm for the first time and it was so neat! Their play barn was so cool and picking blueberries and raspberries was so fun! It's a beautiful property.

My brother and his family were gone for the weekend so we didn't get to see them, but thankful we got some sweet time with my sister!

Ellory, we are so glad you got to go on your trip and also so glad you are back!
