Memorial Day at the "beach."

It was a hot weekend and we wanted to do something fun as a family (that didn't involve much driving and still let them nap at home), so we headed to the lake in a neighboring town. It's a beautiful thing that it really doesn't take much to impress little kids! They loved it and had a great time just swimming, playing in the sand, and swinging at the park. Family time is so special! Thankful that Kley is an interactive and fun dad!

I'm sure we will be returning sometime this summer. (Norah has already asked to go back about 7 times.) A free giant sandbox is a win for my girls! Also, rash guards are my jam now for their swimsuits- love the extra coverage so there's less skin exposed to the sun and makes putting sunscreen on easier.

It was so cute to watch Lucy and Ellory walk, sit, and touch the sand. They made the funniest faces and you could tell they didn't really know what to make of it!

I brought our big bucket and shovel that doesn't fit in our regular sand box at home and Norah filled and emptied that thing countless times!

I know I'm biased, but my family is pretty cute! Love Saturdays together!
