Saturday sweetness (with the balloons).

Today was an awesome Saturday. Weekends are just great! Kley and I didn't have anything today, which was so nice after having a really busy week. We slept in this morning, and I slept later than I have in a long time. Better get it in now before baby comes, right? :)

I did a few loads of laundry at my parents (I actually really don't mind doing laundry), and even packed a few boxes to move to our new house. My first goal is to move everything out of my parent's basement that we have stored there, and then start to focus on our apartment. I'm glad we have plenty of time to get things sorted through, packed, and situated. Being in a rush would not be fun.

This afternoon we went to a movie. I have been told by people that we should take in as many movies as we can before baby comes, because after you have kids you'll rarely ever see a movie in the theatre again. So, we looked at what was playing and chose Wish I Was Here. There wasn't anything specific we were wanting to see, and we thought that was the best compromise option that we both would possibly like. Honestly, it wasn't very good. I wouldn't recommend it. There was a lot of language, and I found myself not being able to really connect to any of the characters in the family. Boo.

Tonight we went to the National Balloon Classic in Indianola. I am so glad that we went! We went for the first time a couple years ago with some friends (before I started this blog, so there isn't a post about it), but this time was so much better! The weather was not the best last time, so there weren't too many balloons that took off.

This time it was perfect weather and there were balloons everywhere! It was so neat to see. I loved watching them all take off and fill up the sky. It was beautiful! Such a fun outing. If you live in the Des Moines area, you should definitely go!

It was really busy!

The first take-off.

Starting to inflate.

Taking off.

There were so many balloons! It was amazing.

Hope your Saturday was equally as wonderful!

Also, as another side note to tag on, I finished You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz this week. It was pretty good! It was an interesting story about a marriage counselor who ends up finding out her husband was crazy and did all these horrible things. It was a tiny bit slow moving at times for me, but did a good job of including all the details and the timeline was very realistic. I liked it, but the whole idea of it was just sad.
