It's Tulip Festival time! Our town celebrated our Dutch heritage every May with a big Tulip Festival, complete with parades, dancing, rides, treats, and costumes. It's so fun! All three girls got to dance and they did great! The Dutch Dancing is all three afternoons right before the parade. They dance to Dutch music, in wooden shoes and everything!
Go Norah!
Go Lucy and Ellory!
Your partner is supposed to be a boy, but there were more girls than boys, so Ellory was paired with a girl and she wasn't sad about it! :)
Cousins in costumes- so cute!
My parents were here briefly helping my Grandma move into her new room and we got to see them for a bit! All in all, it was a disappointing Tulip Festival because sickness went through our family. Not all of us made it to each event, but we did the best we could! My parents were going to stay longer, but left earlier than planned because we were sick (which I don't fault them for!). My sister and her family were going to come too, which we were all sad about because we were excited to meet our new nephew/cousin! Hopefully we can meet him another time very soon. We were very bummed to have sickness during Tulip Festival, but glad we could do the things we were able to. Love time with Grandpa and Grandma, even if it's shorter than hoped!
Fun to get some treats!
Ride Night is the very first part of Tulip Festival, and we enjoyed some rides!
The Cliffhanger is their favorite ride- so fun!
One of my favorite photos- love the initial excitement of the first night in front of all the action!
