What a wonderful Easter celebration- both in celebrating our risen Savior and in seeing both sides of the family! We celebrated with De Jongs Thursday night. We had our scavenger egg hunt, ate supper together, and went to Maundy Thursday church service together. Friday we headed to Des Moines for the weekend to celebrate with Schuts. We had lots of fun with egg hunts, Easter baskets, Easter Sunday church, playing outside, and a fun trip to Howell's.
Favorite Easter meal- ham, cheesy potatoes, green bean casserole, and strawberry pretzel salad! Love all being together at the table. Margo waving in the right corner is my favorite.
Egg hunt! The kids do their egg hunt first with candy eggs, and there's an egg with a "big bunny" ticket. Then we do the adult hunt with one egg per sibling/couple with differing amounts of cash. I found our egg this year and it had the highest amount in it- what fun!
Margo got the big chocolate bunny ticket this year!
Cousin egg hunt.
Driving past Keaton and Rose's house build progress.
Fun Easter outing to Howell's. We enjoyed the baby goats, egg hunt, tub train ride, zip lines, and playgrounds. Love this family of mine!
Always love playing with Grandpa and Grandma!
Loving the zip line.
Tub train ride- a favorite!
Egg hunt.
Whole group picture and it turned out really well!
Checking out the goats. They had four tiny baby goats that were born two hours before we got there that were so cute!
Our three best girls!
Scavenger egg hunt with cousins- Brad and Jana do a combo egg hunt and Easter baskets at the same time. They don't do Easter baskets, but do a scavenger egg hunt where they get smaller items that they would have gotten in a basket. Fun to have special traditions on both sides of the family- brings fun memories!
Happy Easter! He is risen!
