What a fun summer we had! So thankful for the fun memories we made and the special activities we got to do. Back to school time is upon us again! We did a few things to celebrate end of summer before school starts! First, we had our back to school party where we rent a bounce house and invite lots of friends over,. I have no photos of that, but it was fun and we had amazing weather! We also had a fun shopping afternoon with Kley's mom at Scheel's in Sioux City. I don't have a photo of that either, but it was great!
For our end of summer family outing, we went to a bigger pool in a neighboring town and loved it! We also went to Culver's for supper. It's fun that the girls are getting older and are good swimmers to be able to do most of the "big kid" things at pools!

We took a day trip to meet our good friends, the Ragsdale family, in the middle of where both of us live and toured a few parks. The kids played and Heidi and I talked for hours- love it! So glad for our friendship!
I haven't been to A+W in ages and we went there for dollar ice cream cones for afternoon snack!
We did our annual tradition of getting nails and toes painted on the day before school starts.
We also rode around and did some town favorite things on the last day of summer like the park and library. Love my three girls all in a row!
A fun highlight was the Groen family coming over for supper! Stephanie is a close friend and we grew up together (and our families did many things together growing up), but she lives in DC so we don't get to see each other as often as I want. Her sister recently moved close to us and Stephanie and her parents came to visit her, so they all got to come to our house for supper. The best! We even matched unplanned!
